Cardiff Software Names Robert J. Weideman as Vice President of Marketing.

SAN MARCOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 1999--Cardiff Software Inc., the leader in automated data collection software, announces the appointment of Robert J. Weideman as vice president of marketing.

Weideman will be responsible for all marketing activities for the company, including strategic marketing, product management and promotion, market research, and marketing communications.

Weideman was previously vice president of marketing for Template Graphics Software Inc., and has held senior marketing management and product management positions at Computer Associates International and AGE Logic. He is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

While with TGS, Weideman defined and implemented the strategy to establish the Internet 3D standard VRML, through a teaming with Silicon Graphics Inc. in 1995. Endorsed at that time by Netscape, Spyglass, NEC, Digital Computers and over 15 other leading Internet vendors, VRML has since become an official ISO standard supported by Microsoft Corp. and over 200 organizations. Weideman has also been a contributing columnist and author for various industry publications, and is a requested speaker at industry and technical forums worldwide.
