Cardica, Las Vegas Sands Among Big Movers in the Stock Market

Luminent Mortgage Capital Inc., down 6 cents at $1.67

The real estate investment trust said Tuesday that it has repaid all its warehouse lines of credit used to finance $915.7 million in mortgages.

Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd., down 55 cents at $33.65

Aluminum producer Alcoa Inc. sold its 7 percent stake in the Chinese company, known as Chalco, for $2 billion.

Las Vegas Sands Corp., up $8.15 at $117.00

A JPMorgan Securities analyst lifted his price target on the casino operator, pointing to improved long-term value since the company opened its Venetian Macao Hotel Resort in late August.

NASDAQ

Cardica Inc., up $1.35 at $9.99

The medical device maker got an important European approval for a new device that connects blood vessels during heart bypass surgery.

Amgen Inc., up $1.76 at $55.64

A Food and Drug Administration panel decided Tuesday not to recommend restrictions on Amgen's anemia drugs.

MidWestOne Financial Group, up $1.83 at $18.82

The company is merging with another Iowa bank holding company, ISB Financial Corp.
