Cardiac Pathways Corp. Announces Filing of Registration Statement for Initial Public Offering of Common Stock.


SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1996--Cardiac Pathways Corp. today announced that it has filed a registration statement with the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of 2,500,000 shares of common stock.

In addition, the company has granted the underwriters of the proposed initial public offering an option to purchase 375,000 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments. Morgen Stanley & Co. Inc. and Cowen & Co. are managing the offering. Following the offering, the company will have approximately 9.1 million shares of common stock outstanding, assuming no exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option.

Cardiac Pathways Corp. designs, develops and manufactures minimally invasive systems to diagnose and treat cardiac tachyarrhythmias (abnormally rapid heart rhythms).
