The MT900R was a racing version of the MT900. is the first car to come from the factory with carbon fiber wheels. Made by Dymag, the nine-spoke wheels sport a magnesium magnesium (măgnē`zēəm, –zhəm), metallic chemical element; symbol Mg; at. no. 12; at. wt. 24.305; m.p. about 648.8°C;; b.p. about 1,090°C;; sp. gr. 1.738 at 20°C;; valence +2. center and carbon fiber rim. The 18-in. front wheels weigh just 14 lb, while the 20-in. rears weigh 17.5 lb. This is a reduction of 10 and 11.5 lb respectively versus the previously used forged forge 1 n. 1.
