Car heist men ordered to forfeit cash.

THE mastermind of a multi-million pound car-heist gang and his Midland partner in crime have been ordered to pay back more than pounds 100,000.

Imran Ganchi, 30, from Essex, has been warned if the money is not paid within six months another two years will be added to the six he is already serving.

And Shazad Hussain, 32, from Moseley, Birmingham, who was jailed for four years, was ordered to pay back pounds 15,750 within six months, or serve another 10 months.

Among the luxury vehicles stolen by the gang was a BMW BMW

The court heard the BMW was just one of six recovered of the 34 stolen by the gang during its slick 3 1/2 -year crime spree.

London's Southwark Crown Court was told the gang regularly toured the capital with a shopping list of top-of-the-range models.

Once targets had been identified, keys would either be stolen during burglaries, or false documents and names used to obtain copies from overseas dealers.

The cars, worth up to pounds 350,000 each, were then driven away, given new identities by a "master forger", and exported in a scam reminiscent of Nicolas Cage's Hollywood hit Gone in 60 Seconds.
