Car crash victim named; WALES.THE man killed after a car crash on a country lane in Mid Wales Mid Wales is the name given to the area of Wales between North Wales and South Wales. It borders England via the Welsh Marches to the east and the Irish Sea via Cardigan Bay to the west (West Wales is to the south-west). at the weekend has been named by police. Eighteen-year-old Max David Powell Pugh, from Rhayader, was a passenger in a car which crashed on an unclassified un·clas·si·fied adj. 1. Emergency crews were called but Mr Pugh was pronounced dead at the scene. Powys coroner Peter Maddox yesterday opened an inquest inquest, in law, a body of men appointed by law to inquire into certain matters. The term also refers to the inquiry itself as well as to the findings of the inquiry. into Mr Pugh's death. After hearing identification evidence he adjourned the hearing to a date to be fixed. The driver of the car was taken to hospital after sustaining minor injuries, but he was later discharged. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
