Alfred Berry of Chanhassen, Minn., won the grand prize when the name he submitted - Brighton - was chosen from among 80,000 entries nationwide.

An experienced, independent judging panel evaluated name submissions for the contest. The name Brighton won based on its fit with Lustra's brand personality, its originality, creativity, and overall score. Berry was randomly selected as the grand-prize winner from a pool of 113 entries who also submitted the name Brighton.
More than 80,000 car wash customers from around the country familiar with Lustra's environmentally friendly car wash solutions entered the nationwide contest to name the mascot. The contest ran from July through September.
Ten first-prize winners were awarded a year's worth of Lustra car washes. "The car washes are a great prize," McDermott said. "Our car wash and protection products give our customers a unique and satisfying car wash experience by ensuring a cleaner, shinier, and well-protected vehicle."
