Capture the sounds for Capetown project; Massed choirs.FIVE music groups from across the region get together in Batley tonight (April 24) for a concert to raise money for a children's nursery project in Capetown where millions live in abject poverty. The concert is at St Mary's Social Club in Batley which is the home of one of the groups involved, the 20 strong Singing For Fun. They decided to organise the concert when they found their conductor conductor Any of various substances that allow the flow of electric current or thermal energy. A conductor is a poor insulator because it has a low resistance to such flow. , Leeds-based Frances Bernstein, was already a keen supporter of the Kayalitsha nursery project. She formerly lived in Capetown.. The other groups taking part are Wakefield's Merrie City Singers, several senior music students from St John Fisher
