Captura Deepens Commitment to Providing Enterprise Expense Solutions; Names Former Microsoft Veteran as Executive VP -- Products, Promotes Vetras and Bonde.


BOTHELL, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1999--Captura Software Inc., a leading provider of global expense management solutions, today announced a further commitment to providing end-to-end enterprise and e-commerce solutions with the appointment of former Microsoft manager Mike Houston as executive vice president -- products.

Houston will direct Captura's Product Division, ensuring the development and delivery of global enterprise expense management solutions.

In addition, Dan Vetras, president of Captura, will assume the title of chief executive officer, and Katarina G. Bonde will expand her role to executive vice president -- global sales and marketing.

Houston is a computer industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience. He spent the last two years as a product and program management consultant. Prior to his recent consulting work, he served as vice president of product management at Clear Call Financial Inc., in Stoneham, Mass., where he managed product development and customer research efforts. At Microsoft, he managed site planning Site planning in landscape architecture and architecture refers to the organizational stage of the landscape design process. It involves the organization of land use zoning, access, circulation, privacy, security, shelter, land drainage, and other factors.  and next-generation vision for Microsoft's Support Online site. Additionally, he developed business strategy and marketing plans for the company's small business marketing efforts for Microsoft Office Microsoft's primary desktop applications for Windows and Mac. Depending on the package, it includes some combination of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook along with various Internet and other utilities.  and other key products and new product initiatives.

Houston began his career at New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt.  Group, a wholesale industrial marketing and distribution firm in Nashua, N.H., where he managed the accounting and information systems areas. He most recently served as vice president of sales at IntraNetics Inc., where his duties included directing worldwide sales initiatives and channel development activities. Prior to IntraNetics, Vetras held management positions at IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Lotus and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Bonde is responsible for Captura's global sales and marketing initiatives as well as directing the company's international division, Captura International Ltd. Prior to her current role, Bonde held positions as vice president of sales and vice president of corporate marketing at the company. With nearly 20 years experience in the industry both in Europe and the U.S., Bonde has a broad background in marketing, sales and general management from Dun & Bradstreet Software, Cap Gemini Sogeti, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
