Captiva Names Jim Nicol Executive Vice President of Product Development; Technology Veteran to Lead Captiva's Aggressive Software Development Initiatives.

Captiva Software Captiva Software is now part of EMC Software Group, a division of EMC Corporation.[1] Captiva makes software solutions for document information processing and data capture from paper and electronic documents and provides related services.  Corp. (Nasdaq:CPTV CPTV Connecticut Public Television ), a leading provider of input management solutions, today announced the addition of technology veteran Jim Nicol as its executive vice president of product development. In this new position, Nicol will lead Captiva's software development, quality assurance, documentation and localization Customizing software and documentation for a particular country. It includes the translation of menus and messages into the native spoken language as well as changes in the user interface to accommodate different alphabets and culture. Nicol is a seasoned executive who has successfully delivered award-winning enterprise software solutions by leveraging his extensive experience in product development, strategic planning and process improvement. He comes to Captiva from FutureTrade, where he led engineering, quality assurance and product management as executive vice president of product development. Prior to FutureTrade, Nicol was with Previo, where he was vice president of development & technical operations and was a member of the office of the president. He originally joined Previo as vice president of product development when it was known as STAC 1. (language) STAC - Storage Allocation and Coding Program.
