Captiva Expands VAR Channel Distribution; Optical Laser Signed as New Distributor for Genesis.


SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 1999--

Captiva Software Captiva Software is now part of EMC Software Group, a division of EMC Corporation.[1] Captiva makes software solutions for document information processing and data capture from paper and electronic documents and provides related services.  Corporation, the market leader in information capture software, today announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Optical Laser.

Optical Laser will offer Captiva's Genesis(tm) software to their client base of VARs and resellers nationwide. Designed for companies that process fewer than 2,500 documents per day, Genesis offers small businesses and departments in large corporations a fast, cost-effective, flexible and highly accurate solution for extracting valuable information and capturing images for indexed archival. In addition, the software is built on the same award-winning technology as Captiva's FormWare(tm), making it easily extensible to enterprise-class information capture systems.
