Captain merits recognition; VIEWPOINTS.FURTHER to the article "Yo ho ho, here's a plan for a park" (Echo, May 21), may I develop a few points made in the article with particular reference to Plaid Cymru Plaid Cymru Noun the Welsh nationalist party [Welsh] ? The plan for a structured garden with play facilities, themed on Captain Henry Morgan, the famous son of Llanrumney, is a brilliant idea. Captain Morgan Captain Morgan is a brand of rum produced by Diageo. It is named after the 17th-century Caribbean privateer from Wales, Sir Henry Morgan. Captain Morgan's slogan is "Got a little Captain in You?" History is known throughout the world, due mainly to a brand of rum, but is not honoured in his own town and this omission needs to be redressed. It's a pity there aren't Plaid councillors in Llanrumney to do the same, protecting the recreation ground now under threat of destruction from a proposed school by the council. On behalf of Plaid Cymru in Cardiff East, I can only echo the comments of Don Taylor There are several people of note by the name Don Taylor or Donald Taylor known for achievements in various fields. Among them:
