The crew pulled them from the water and they were then airlifted by a Squadron 122 helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor for treatment. Yesterday a Holyhead Coastguard spokesman said: "We received a 999 call at 1.46pm that three canoeists had capsized and were in the water at Porth Llanlleiana. "We knew the fishing vessel Stingray was in the area. "They got them aboard. "The three had been in the water half an hour and were hypothermic hy·po·ther·mi·a n. Abnormally low body temperature.
