The Capitol Corridor is a 172-mile (275 km) passenger train route operated by Amtrak in California. trains to get there. First, the trains will take visitors right to the front gate via a connector bus, no driving or parking hassles. And, second, the cost to get into the fair is included with the Capitol train ticket. The California State Fair, one of the biggest events of the year, began Friday, Aug. 21, and runs through Monday, Sept. 7.
