Capitol Hill Day to focus on int'l trade.


BANNOCKBURN, IL -- The main agenda item at IPC's (www.ipc.org) Capitol Capitol, seat of the U.S. Congress
Capitol, seat of the U.S. government at Washington, D.C. It is the city's dominating monument, built on an elevated site that was chosen by George Washington in consultation with Major Pierre L'Enfant.
 Hill Day will be to encourage Congress and the Bush administration to enforce existing international trade agreements. This year's event will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, in Washington, D.C.

Representatives from printed circuit board, electronics assembly and supplier companies will come together on Capitol Hill Day to deliver a pro-growth, pro-manufacturing message to Congress. Under the direction of the IPC Government Relations (GR) Committee, participants will have the opportunity to meet with congressional representatives and communicate the message that until the administration enforces present WTO See World Trade Organization.  commitments, and U.S. trading partners abide by them, Congress should suspend consideration of any new trade agreements.
