Capital police arrest eight accused in different cases.

ISLAMABAD, August 24, 2009 (Balochistan Times): The Federal Capital Police have arrested eight persons allegedly involved in cases of dacoity, drug peddling and illegal weapons besides recovering 1020 grams opium, six 30-bore pistols along with one magazine and 31 rounds from their possession. ASI Shakeel Ahmed of Shahzad Town Police Station nabbed three accused Ashraf Ali, Noor Muhammad and Muhammad Javed, who gathered with the intention to commit dacoity, and recovered two 30-bore pistols and four rounds from their possession. During patrol a 30-bore pistol and three rounds were recovered allegedly from Muhammad Rizwan, said a press release issued here on Monday. Meanwhile, SI Fazl-ur-Rehman of Tarnol Police Station apprehended Faisal Saeed and allegedly recovered 1020 grams opium from his possession. SI Munawar Ahmed of Kohsar Police Station arrested Wajahat Sami and allegedly recovered a 30-bore pistol and two rounds from his possession. SI Abdul Jabbar and ASI Muhammad Nawaz of Margallah Police Station apprehended Zar Khan and Jabar Abbas and allegedly recovered two 30-bore pistols, 22 rounds and a magazine from their possession. Police have started further investigation after registering separate cases against them. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the police officials.
