Capital University Awards Contract to UNICCO; Implements Management Practices and Technology.

, today announced that Capital University has selected UNICCO to provide custodial services and to conduct value-added consulting services, including a facilities condition assessment.

In addition to the day-to-day custodial services, UNICCO is helping Capital University better manage its facilities with a Computerized Maintenance Management System Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is also known as Enterprise Asset Management.

) that will track projects, open repair tickets, dispatch service technicians and report results to managers.

UNICCO also is developing training and quality assurance programs, establishing standard operating procedures standard operating procedure Medtalk A technique, method or therapy performed 'by the book,' using a standard protocol meeting internally or externally defined criteria; a formal, written procedure that describes how specific lab operations are to be performed.  and implementing a formal preventive maintenance and grounds management program. These are major steps toward establishing a "best practices" approach to facilities services at the University.
