EDISON, N.J. -- FootPrints Helps Professional Title and Escrow Services Firm Improve IT Support Operations, Leverage its Corporate Directory via Dynamic Access, and Reduce Costs During Accelerated Growth Period

UniPress Software, Inc., a leading mid-market provider of web-based service desk automation software, today announced that Capital Title Group, Inc., a Scottsdale, AZ-based title and escrow professional services (job) professional services - A department of a supplier providing consultancy and programming manpower for the supplier's products.  firm, has implemented FootPrints(R) to track and manage information technology (IT) service and support requests for more than 1,200 associates across 80 locations. Additionally, FootPrints is being used to automate the company's change management processes, optimize existing IT assets, and streamline procurement of new equipment.

spot (ranked 21st) on Fortune Magazine's America's 100 Fastest Growing Companies list in 2004. To keep pace with its business, Capital Title Group and two of its subsidiaries - New Century Title and Capital Title Agency - have hired many new employees and opened offices throughout California and Arizona. The company realized it needed a centralized, web-based service desk to track and manage all types of technical requests, and one that allowed technicians to input the necessary time for billing purposes while on client sites.

"With the growth we're encountering, effectively meeting the technology needs of nearly 1,200 employees spread across a wide geographic area, and optimizing the technology management function with our own department is an industrial-strength challenge," said Jesse Medina, IT Manager at Capital Title Agency. To address this challenge, Capital Title Group implemented FootPrints to power three subsidiary-specific IT help desks responsible for delivering fast, around-the-clock support to employees. The multi-channel capabilities built-in to the web-based system allow the company's employees to request service from wherever they may be via phone, email, or the Internet.

"FootPrints has helped us meet the support needs of our employees, whether they are in our offices or at client sites," Mr. Medina said. "It has also allowed us to steer support requests from the phone channel to email and the web channels, which has significantly helped us cut overall costs within our department."

Capital Title Group also implemented the FootPrints(R) Dynamic Address Book Link to help drive its support automation strategy. Using this product, support agents have instant and dynamic access to client-specific information stored in an existing Microsoft Active Directory(R) address book. This ensures individual support requests are pre-populated with the latest client contact and account data.

"FootPrints' integration features allow us to efficiently handle the high volume of support requests that pass through our three help desks on a monthly basis," explained Mr. Medina. "There is just no way that we could handle the increasing volume of requests without FootPrints' integration features."

Capital Title Group is also using FooPrints to power change management, procurement, and deployment projects within its IT group.

To effectively manage changes made to its IT inventory, Capital Title Group creates a master ticket in FootPrints for every piece of equipment within its corporate network. Agents then create a new subtask for each change they make to a particular device, making it easy to identify and track that change in the future. This information becomes instantly available and searchable to approved IT personnel.

For its procurement program, the company uses FootPrints to automate requests, approvals, and fulfillment for new hardware and software purchases. All open and closed purchase orders remain searchable within FootPrints and management can run periodic and scheduled reports to monitor expenditures for budgetary and forecasting purposes. Once approval is granted for new equipment or software, the engineering department automatically receives an email notification with deployment timing and implementation requirements. The IT engineering department then uses FootPrints to track and manage these local or global hardware and software deployments, making it easier for the IT department to monitor deployment activities and overall status.

"FootPrints has proven itself time and again, and has done everything we've asked it to, and then some," Mr. Medina said. "In the future we plan to incorporate a knowledge base that employees can use to resolve common IT problems on their own and launch a human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees.  integration project to streamline new-hire IT procedures."
