Corporate Finance, Private Equity, and Corporate Development Groups

NEW YORK, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ --

The new platform upgrades the market intelligence and analytic offerings essential to investment bankers and enables more flexible, customized solutions for private equity and corporate development professionals, streamlining their deal processes.

"We've responded to the requests of Capital IQ users and prospects to develop an enterprise solution that they could house behind their own firms' fire walls, to address their security and propriety information concerns," stated Steven B. Turner, co-managing partner of Capital IQ. "With Capital IQ version 3.0, they can now choose between our traditional ASP model or our new enterprise solution."

Capital IQ's upgraded features include new functionalities and navigation of its Market Intelligence offerings, now broken down into three sections: Company Intelligence; Industry Intelligence; and Analytics and Targeting. The Analytics and Targeting section provides access to Capital IQ's targeting engine, company screening tools, transaction searches, and auditable comparables analysis tools.

New functionalities include searching by transaction, electronic generation of entire briefing books, adding proprietary information on specific transactions, screening companies user broader financial statistics and ratios, and screening by selected criteria (market cap, revenue, long-term growth rates, etc.). Version 3.0 will also offer more options such as streamlined versions offering data an analytics only, for use by private equity and corporate development groups to complete acquisitions.

"Now, more than ever, bankers and corporate finance professionals are striving to develop and complete financing and M&A transactions in a very timely manner," said Neal D.
