) today announced the appointment of prominent Florida attorney Hugh F. Culverhouse, Jr. to fill a vacancy on its board of directors.

Culverhouse, 46, has been in private practice at Hugh F. Culverhouse, Jr., P.A. for the past eight years. He currently serves as a director of the Del Webb Delbert E. Webb (May 17 1899 - July 4 1974) was an American construction magnate, real estate developer and sports-team owner who is significant for founding and developing the retirement community of Sun City, Arizona.  Corp.

Formerly, he was a director of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Daniel M. Holtz, Capital Bancorp chairman, said Culverhouse's appointment as outside director will strengthen the Company's ability to continue to grow as an independent bank and to evaluate and take advantage of opportunities for expansion.

    The vacancy was created by the resignation as a director in June of Timothy E. Kish, Esq, Capital Bank corporate counsel. Kish continues in his executive capacity as senior officer and counsel for Capital Bancorp and its subsidiaries.
