Capgemini to Open 600-Seat Contact Center in Junction City, KS.

JUNCTION CITY Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley, , Kan. -- Capgemini, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that it will open a 600-seat contact center and begin serving clients in October. This will be the seventh Capgemini contact center in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

When the center becomes fully operational, it is expected to generate more than $8 million in annual salaries in the Junction City area. Capgemini will begin recruiting personnel for the center in June.
