Capgemini Technologies Appoints Kevin Murphy to President; Brings Two Decades of Value-Added Reseller Executive Leadership.

VIENNA, Va. -- Capgemini Technologies LLC, a value-added reseller (VAR) subsidiary of Capgemini US LLC, one of the world's leaders in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has appointed Kevin Murphy as president, replacing James Hunt. Murphy has been with Capgemini Technologies and its predecessor firms since its inception in 1996, and was chief operating officer from 2003 until late 2004 when he assumed the role of president.

Murphy was a founding member of both Price Waterhouse Reseller (in 1994) and Ernst & Young Technologies (in 1996), and has more than 15 years of experience with system integrators and VARs serving both commercial and government clients, including four years at BDS, a federal government-focused system integrator.

At Capgemini Technologies, Murphy held a variety of executive positions including vice president of product sales, fulfillment and vendor relations, operations for space and network, and human resources and accounting. He was part of the management team responsible for the spinoff of Ernst & Young Technologies from Ernst & Young LLP in 2000, the establishment of the EYT brand from 2000 to 2002, and the reacquisition of EYT by Capgemini in 2002 as a wholly owned subsidiary and subsequent renaming of Capgemini Technologies in April 2004.

Murphy is a member of the Hewlett Packard System Integrator Executive Council, EMC Systems Integrator Partner Council, Potomac Officer's Club and the Northern Virginia Technology Council E-Business Committee. He is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, and he lives with his family in Oakton, Virginia.
