Capgemini Successfully Implements SAP[R] CRM 7.0 for OPUBCO Communications Group - One of the Initial Upgrade Implementations in North America.

Quick Implementation and Cutting-edge Features of SAP CRM 7.0 Drives Competitive Advantage for One of the Largest Publishing Companies in the Midwest

NEW YORK -- Capgemini, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that its Technology Services business unit in North America, in conjunction with SAP AG, has successfully implemented SAP[R] Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) 7.0 for OPUBCO Communications Group, one of the largest newspaper publishers in the Midwest.

Capgemini U.S. LLC, a global SAP services partner, is one of the first systems integrators to implement an upgrade to SAP CRM 7.0 in North America. Capgemini worked with the OPUBCO Communications Group, a participant in the Business Suite 7 Ramp Up program, to deliver the upgrade - from SAP CRM 5.0 to SAP CRM 7.0 - in just seven weeks. The new CRM system provides them with a new Web User Interface (Web UI), and also provides an up-to-date infrastructure for future enhancements.

"Going into this project, we had an established relationship with Capgemini's hosting team, and we were confident that they had a good understanding of our business needs. They have an impressive track record with SAP technology, and we were certain that they could help us complete this upgrade," said Dan Barth, chief information officer, OPUBCO Communications Group. "With the successful completion of the technical upgrade project, we have now set the stage to enable our sales force and to enhance our database marketing strategies with new capabilities offered in the SAP CRM 7.0 package."

"Customers are excited about the new release of SAP CRM with its improved user experience and more rapid configuration capabilities, which help our customers speed up deployments and adoption," said Jeff Eberhart, senior director, CRM Customer Value Network, SAP Americas. "OPUBCO Communications Group is a great example of how dynamic companies are now leveraging SAP CRM rapidly to execute on their business vision and drive competitive advantage."

Capgemini used its Rightshore[R] global delivery model to leverage the industry experience of team members onshore in the United States and offshore in Mumbai, India to provide OPUBCO Communications Group with the most recent technical solutions that would assist in making their business more efficient and effective.

"The OPUBCO Communications Group is a pioneer in the digital media space and is leveraging SAP CRM to support their growth initiatives. We worked collaboratively with them to complete this upgrade and help them quickly take advantage of the new capabilities of SAP CRM 7.0, and OPUBCO's early adoption provides them a competitive advantage in the market," said Cameron Crosby, vice president and SAP account executive, Capgemini, U.S. LLC. "Capgemini and SAP are working together to help clients like the OPUBCO Communciations Group implement solutions that directly support their business objectives."
