Five $10,000 scholarships provided by online university

MINNEAPOLIS -- In honor of the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform, Capella University Capella University is a private for-profit distance institution of higher learning. In his scholarship application, Martin stated: "The Capella educational experience has afforded me the opportunity to remain in my home with my children as I receive my education. After being away from my family for two years while serving my country in Iraq, it is valued time we have all been looking forward to."

The scholarships will be distributed evenly over the next eight quarters and were available to service members from any branch of the U.S. military who have received a Rating Decision memo of 20 percent disability or higher from the Veterans Administration as a result of being wounded in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom. Capella will offer the scholarships annually, with applications accepted in the fall.
