Cape Town lures call centres.


As well as the South African government providing a $140m package of incentives for the development of call centres, including substantial tax breaks for every job created, the provincial government of the Western Cape The Western Cape is a province in the south west of South Africa. The capital is Cape Town. Prior to 1994, the region that now forms the Western Cape was part of the huge (and now defunct) Cape Province.  has set aside $2.75m in funding for its new Cadet scheme to train young local people for call centre employment.
