Capcom Entertainment Announces Availability of a Powerhouse Line-Up of Sony PlayStation Products.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 15, 1996--Capcom Entertainment today announced the pending release of its impressive line-up of products for the Sony PlayStation.

Capcom's first product to debut for the PlayStation will be the much anticipated release of Street Fighter Alpha in February. In March the company's blockbuster line-up includes Resident Evil, DarkStalkers and Fox Hunt with Buster Bros. Collection scheduled to release in April. Capcom plans to sell these Sony PlayStation titles at a suggested retail price of $59.95.

Street Fighter Alpha is based on the smash arcade hit that shot immediately to the top of the charts. In a direct translation of the arcade game, Capcom brings together a cast of characters from the collective Street Fighter Universe who have never before appeared together in a single game. This latest Street Fighter game resurrects classic, all time favorite characters from the original Street Fighter arcade game, brings back formidable foes from Capcom's blockbuster game line, Final Fight, and introduces three brand new characters who step up to the challenge. Dazzling animations, new super combo moves and fantastic gameplay combine to make this the most potent Street Fighter of all time.

Resident Evil is easily the most anticipated game for the Sony PlayStation. This horrific action game contains elements of role-playing and puzzle solving in the midst of the strange and macabre. You explore a foreboding mansion where neck-biting zombies, giant spiders, horrid frog-like men and a horde of other mutated creatures dare you to challenge them. A one- or two-player title, Darkstalkers features ten of the greatest animated monster warriors from around the world who've gathered together to compete in the fight of their life. This compelling cast of monster warriors includes "Demitris" the Vampire, "Talbain" an English Werewolf, Frankenstein, the Zombie, the Mummy, a Samurai, a Brazilian Merman, "Big Foot" the Sasquach, and two female warriors, the Cat Woman, and the Succubus.

Fox Hunt is the interactive comedy spy thriller that looks like a feature film and puts you right in the middle of all the action. Buster Bros. Collection brings three complete Buster Bros. games to the PlayStation -- Super Buster Brothers and Buster Buddies. Based on the U.S. and (previously unreleased) Japanese arcade versions, this game is the definition of addictive.
