CapRock Communications Appoints Robertson Senior VP of Carrier Sales; Sales Veteran Assumes Additional International and Enhanced Services Duties.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2000

CapRock Communications Corp. (Nasdaq:CPRK CPRK Crowne Plaza Riverside Kuching (Malaysia) ) has promoted Chip Robertson from vice president to senior vice president of Carrier Sales.

Robertson will report directly to Leo Leo, in astronomy
Leo [Lat.,=the lion], northern constellation lying S of Ursa Major and on the ecliptic (apparent path of the sun through the heavens) between Cancer and Virgo; it is one of the constellations of the zodiac.

Robertson will now oversee CapRock's carrier sales force and all carrier products, including dark fiber, bandwidth, domestic and international long distance terminating access and data services.

Robertson joined CapRock in February 1998 as director of Carrier Sales, before his promotion to vice president of Carrier Sales in June 1998. He served as city vice president-Denver with WorldCom from December 1995 until joining CapRock in 1998. He also served two years as a vice president with MFS MFS Medicare fee schedule  Communications, and as a regional and national account manager with Sprint Corp. from February 1988 to October 1993.
