Thursday morning. E[acute accent]While logging the #1 Roberts Unit well, the gamma-ray/neutron tool set down on residual cement in the 2-7/8" tubing at 8700 feet. The Yegua "A" sand was found above 8,700'. Canyon Creek moved in a coiled tubing unit to drill out 30-40' of residual cement in order to access the more prolific Yegua "B" sand. E[acute accent]Donald W. Orr, President of Canyon Creek said, "We are very excited about the quality of the Yegua "A" stringer encountered in the well. When compared with other wells in the area, the Yegua "A" sand appears of higher quality based upon the gamma-ray measurements. The Yegua "B" sand should be even better." E[acute accent]The logging company is currently on location and the coiled tubing unit is working to remove the residual cement from the well. Once the cement is removed, the Company will continue logging operations below 8,700'. Canyon Creek anticipates logging 20' of excellent quality Yegua "B" sand and then perforating both the Yegua "A" and the Yegua "B" pay zones. E[acute accent]Upon original completion in 1990, the #1 Roberts Unit flowed at an absolute open flow of 9,000,000 cfg from the Yegua "B" stringer as reported to the Railroad Commission of Texas The Railroad Commission of Texas is the state agency that regulates the oil and gas industry, gas utilities, pipeline safety, safety in the liquefied petroleum gas industry, and surface coal and uranium mining.  on Form G-1. The Form G-1 shows the well flowing 2,668 mcfgpd on a 8/64'' choke with 4,727 psi flowing tubing pressure. E[acute accent]"We intend to produce this well from both the "A" and the "B" zones," continued Orr. "Based on the logs and historical production reports, we are very optimistic of the results."
