Cantor Fitzgerald Opens its Foundation for Victims of the World Trade Center Tragedy and Their Families.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 2001

Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., responding to the many requests for information regarding donations to aid the families of victims of the World Trade Center tragedy, said today that its foundation had established a program for this purpose.

The firm said Chairman Howard Lutnick initiated the program with a personal donation of $1 million. In announcing the foundation's program, he said: "We are taking these steps to make resources available to help the victims' families through these terrible times. We can never do enough, but the funds gathered by the foundation will be used to provide some solace to those most affected by this tragedy."
