Implements EmergisoftED into a Fourth Hospital Facility

Emergisoft Corporation (OTC:ESHG) today announced that the Oakwood Healthcare System has again expanded the use of Emergisoft's flagship Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) - EmergisoftED(TM) - by deploying the system in its Healthcare Center in Canton, Michigan. This is the fourth deployment of EmergisoftED within Oakwood Healthcare System emergency departments.

The continued expansion demonstrates how Emergisoft applications are being adopted by an increasing number of multi-facility hospital systems for emergency-room workflow automation. The implementation of EDIS has become a cornerstone for hospital administrators seeking to eliminate inefficiencies caused by paper-based clinical documentation in America's emergency rooms.

The Canton facility, which deployed EmergisoftED on March 2, 2004, is already benefiting from the electronic information system in both clinical and administrative settings, according to Kerry Walsh, the clinical manager at Oakwood's Healthcare Center - Canton.

Walsh said the healthcare center's emergency department has approximately 15,000 visits each year, and that it is using EmergisoftED to share patient information throughout the Oakwood system. Walsh has been with Oakwood Healthcare System for 20 years, and was involved in the initial installation of EmergisoftED in the health system's main facility, Oakwood Medical Center in Dearborn, Mich., in September of 2002.
