LITTLE FALLS, N.J. -- CANTEL MEDICAL CORP., through its Crosstex International subsidiary, has further expanded its dental infection prevention and control business by purchasing the assets of Twist 2 It Inc. Twist 2 It, based in Woodside, New York, designs, markets and sells a unique, patented, disposable prophy angle for the cleaning and polishing of teeth, that eliminates the splatter of saliva, blood and other potential infectious matter. The business being acquired has pre-acquisition annual revenues of approximately $1.3 million.

According to Andrew Whitehead, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Crosstex, "The Twist is an ideal addition to our Crosstex brand -- innovative, high-quality, disposable and manufactured in the USA. The popular Twist prophy angle will be sold exclusively through Crosstex' network of distributors, complementing the full line of Crosstex' new Patient's Choice[TM] products that include prophy pastes, fluoride gels, foams and trays, as well as topical anesthetics."

Due to the novel 90o reciprocating motion, the Twist aids dentists, hygienists and veterinarians in not only eliminating oral splatter, but also improving patient safety and comfort by avoiding frictional heat.
