Mr. Wastcoat has been with Cantata Technology (formerly Brooktrout Technology(R) and Excel Switching) since 1998, where he was responsible for the sales, marketing programs and business development in the Pacific Rim. In addition to growing the business in the region by over 20% each year, he was instrumental in opening the company's branch office in Japan in 2003. Mr. Wastcoat also led the effort in developing relationships with major corporations in Asia such as Samsung, NTT NTT Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation

Prior to joining Cantata, Mr. Wastcoat was the associate director of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Japan Office, developing commercial relationships between the state of Pennsylvania and Japanese companies. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Montana and a degree from Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin Japanese Language School in Tokyo.
