Cantata Technology Appoints Timothy L. Murray Chief Executive Officer.

Accomplished Communications Industry Veteran and Former AT&T Executive to Drive Future Growth of VoIP Market Leader

NEEDHAM, Mass. -- Cantata Technology[TM], one of the world's leading providers of enabling communications technology, today announced the appointment of Timothy "Tim" Murray to the position of chief executive officer. Effective today, Mr. Murray will assume responsibility for Cantata's business and product strategy, day-to-day operations, and revenue growth.

Marc Zionts, former chief executive officer of Cantata Technology, will remain with the company in an advisory capacity, serving as Vice Chairman.

An accomplished communications industry veteran whose career has spanned nearly three decades, Mr. Murray spent more than 20 years in senior executive positions at AT&T. During his successful career at AT&T, Mr. Murray served as: Executive Vice President, Business Service Operations; President, Business Network Services; and, Vice President, Middle Market Business Unit. Prior to joining Cantata Technology, Mr. Murray held the positions of President and CEO of Cross Match Services, a leading provider of biometric identification services; and COO of Cross Match Technologies, which was recently ranked number five on Inc. Magazine's list of the 500 fastest growing companies in North America. Mr. Murray has also served as CEO of Riversoft PLC, a pioneering network management software company.
