) announced today the establishment of a research and development center exclusively for the design of Canon's Bubble Jet Canon's trade name for its thermal drop on demand inkjet printer technology. An added incentive in locating the new R&D center at CBM in Costa Mesa, is its proximity to both Canon Computer Systems Inc., the sales and marketing division for Canon computers, printers and peripheral products in the U.S., and Canon Information Systems Inc., a software development company for Canon's computer and printer products. All three companies are located in Costa Mesa, and provide Canon with the support necessary to achieve customer satisfaction in the research, design manufacturing, marketing, and sales of its printer products utilizing Bubble Jet(TM) technology.
