Canon closes "Micro"; mulls future of "CE Magazine".

), has ceased publication of "Micro" magazine and has sold the title's circulation list and publication rights to PennWell Corp. (Tulsa, OK). No terms were given.

Tag-lined "the magazine for advanced process control, defect reduction, and yield enhancement for semiconductor manufacturing," "Micro" was established in 1983 as "Microcontamination" and was published six times a year for a controlled circulation of 23,000 corporate and engineering management professionals in the semiconductor, nano-electronics, materials handling, process equipment, r&d and advanced microelectronics industries. Editorial included technical articles, industry and product technology news, commentary and analysis on chip and MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical Systems) Tiny mechanical devices that are built onto semiconductor chips and are measured in micrometers.
