Canon U.S.A. Receives 2005 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award From U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy.

Canon U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of Canon Inc. (NYSE:CAJ), has been named an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year - Manufacturer for outstanding contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by designing and promoting energy-efficient products. The award will be presented by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) today at the Capital Hilton, 1001 16th Street NW, Washington, DC.

Canon will be honored for its leadership in manufacturing, broadly promoting products that earn the ENERGY STAR, and for education outreach to further enhance energy efficiency awareness. ENERGY STAR is the U.S. government-backed symbol of energy efficiency.
