Designed to support the demanding needs of small-to-mid-sized departments and corporate workgroups, the imageRUNNER 3320N/3320i and imageRUNNER 2220N/2220i Series offer the ability to embed multiple customized, simultaneously active applications within the device to maximize user-friendliness and streamline document workflow.

The compact, energy-efficient imageRUNNER 3320N/3320i and 2220N/2220i are 33 page-per-minute (ppm) and 22-ppm(*) digital black-and-white copier-based MFPs, respectively. All offer Canon's superior image quality and support true 600 x 600 dpi resolution, 1200 x 600 dpi interpolated interpolated /in·ter·po·lat·ed/ (in-ter´po-la?ted) inserted between other elements or parts.  copy resolution, and 2400 x 600 dpi interpolated print resolution. The operation and programming capabilities of the imageRUNNER 2220/3320 Series are quick and intuitive, and offer multiple points of control: at the device, from a desktop, or using Canon's standard full-color, touch-screen user interface panel. All four models ship standard with Ethernet network connectivity and a Canon-designed Printer Kit with support for PCL (Printer Command Language) The page description language for HP LaserJet printers. Through Canon's Universal Send(TM) network scanning and distribution capabilities, and integration with eCopy's suite of document distribution solutions, the imageRUNNER 2220/3320 models serve as a centralized office communications hub for information sharing See data conferencing.  and knowledge management across an extended enterprise.

Canon's Universal Send network scanning and distribution capabilities, standard on the imageRUNNER 2220i/3320i models, make collaboration an affordable reality for smaller businesses and workgroups. Users can scan and distribute information to multiple destinations, including individual or groups of e-mail and Internet-fax addresses, internal mailboxes and network or host folders and Super G3 Fax destinations(***)(optional), as well as to document management applications such as Canon's imageWARE application. New Universal Send network capabilities include the ability to preview a document prior to sending and to register up to five LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) A protocol used to access a directory listing. eCopy's ShareScan OP software, expected to be available later this quarter, extends document distribution functionality on 2220 and 3320 models through its extensive support for third party applications including e-mail, LAN Fax A fax service provided in a local area network (LAN). The LAN fax software is installed on a server and turns it into a LAN fax server. It provides a centralized service for network users to send and receive faxes. , and document management software. Unlike previous versions of eCopy ShareScan, ShareScan OP will run embedded within imageRUNNER 2220/3320 Series models, eliminating the need for external hardware, and strengthening already robust enterprise level management capabilities in the software.

Building upon the award-winning design of previous imageRUNNER devices, the imageRUNNER 2220/3320 Series offers productivity enhancements and exceptional multifunction performance including a 250Mhz processor, 256MB RAM and a 10GB hard disk as standard equipment. Each model also ships standard with a Document Feeder and Image Reader (scanner).
