Canon U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of Canon Inc. (NYSE:CAJ) today introduces a new line of digital networked office systems to meet the needs of small office/home office customers or those in decentralized corporate workgroups.

The Canon imageRUNNER 1310, 1330 and 1370F offer digital laser copying and printing at speeds of up to 13 pages-per-minute (ppm) for letter-size paper with available automatic document feeding, faxing and optional network connectivity in a package designed to fit on a desktop. The imageRUNNER 1300 Series products are available immediately through authorized Canon dealers and Canon Business Solutions locations.

Canon's imageRUNNER 1300 Series includes three devices designed for varying needs and budgets. The imageRUNNER 1310 is the base model, delivering copying and printing and a 600-sheet total paper supply. The imageRUNNER 1330 offers the added convenience of a reliable 30-sheet Automatic Document Feeder, and the imageRUNNER 1370 adds Super G3 Fax capabilities.

All the imageRUNNER 1300 models share the following productivity-enhancing features:

- Digital copying with Scan-Once-Print-Many technology.

- Canon's Advanced Printing Technology for high-quality laser printing via built-in parallel and USB interfaces.

- Network connectivity via an optional network adaptor.

- Separate toner cartridge and drum unit design.

- A maximum duty cycle rated at 20,000 impressions per month

- Superior image quality supporting true 600 dpi resolution; copy resolution of up to 1200 x 600 dpi (interpolated) and print resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi (interpolated) for accurate continuous tone/halftone reproduction and sharp, clear text.

Offering a generous 600-sheet paper supply for low-volume copying and printing needs, all three imageRUNNER models ship with a front-loading 500-sheet, user adjustable paper cassette and a 100-sheet stack-bypass tray. The cassette can accept letter-and legal-sized paper up to 20 lbs., while the stack-bypass tray can handle various types of media including paper up to 32 lbs., transparencies and labels. Although built for desktop use, the imageRUNNER 1300 Series can also be placed in an optional cabinet for customers who prefer to place shared devices in a common area.

The imageRUNNER 1330 and 1370F models add a 30-sheet Automatic Document feeder that accepts originals in statement, letter and legal sizes, for customers needing to copy multi-page originals. The imageRUNNER 1370F is the flagship model, adding a Super G3 fax with a maximum modem speed of 33.6Kbps(*) that can transmit a single page in a few as 3 seconds. Convenient fax features include 12 one-touch speed dials, 100 coded speed dials, group dialing and directory dialing.

Canon's imageRUNNER 1300 Series also features Canon's patented RAPID Fusing System, which provides instant warm-up and eliminates waiting time. The imageRUNNER 1310, 1330 and 1370F all require little power and first-copy-out time is a fast 13 seconds from the platen glass. All the imageRUNNER 1300 Series models meet the ENERGY STAR guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
