Eye Q Prime Software, (Eye Q Prime) introduced today by Canon U.S.A., Inc. at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Meeting in New Orleans (Canon booth #1243), is a new imaging and data informatics solution for ophthalmology professionals. For use with Canon's Non-Mydriatic/Mydriatic Fundus Camera, Eye Q Prime is fully customizable and scalable to existing and future practice requirements.

Eye Q Prime runs on intelligent Platform (iP), which is a service-oriented architecture (SOA) based on Microsoft(R) .NET framework. This allows for the creation of powerfully robust and secure applications that can manage complex processes such as patient workflow. By adding modules, such as Image View and Annotations service (Dx, Dx Plus), Clinical Follow-up and Referral Services (Care Pathway), Image Anatomy and Grading Services (Grading), and Clinical Outcome Management Service (Outcome), Eye Q Prime can grow or be custom tailored to the needs of an organization.
