Canoga Perkins Extends Its Technology Module Enclosure Family to Fit Virtually Any Size Applications.

Canoga Perkins, a worldwide leading supplier of fiber optic extension equipment and cost effective CWDM (Course WDM) An optical transmission method that is used for shorter distances than dense WDM (DWDM). Also known as "wide WDM," CWDM transmits fewer channels and uses wider spacing between the channels for distances up to 60 km. Wider spacing up to 25 nm, compared to 1.  systems, today announced the expansion of its line of product enclosures and universal chassis systems.

The new product family additions include the managed 1040 Standalone Enclosure enclosure (inclosure) n. land bounded by a fence, wall, hedge, ditch or other physical evidence of boundary. Unfortunately, too often these creations are not included among the actual legally-described boundaries and cause legal problems.

The 1040 Standalone Enclosure is a fully manageable product that provides an RJ-45 10BaseT Ethernet management port. The manageable 1040 Standalone Enclosure can be used as an extension of the existing Canoga Multi-Technology Universal Chassis System (UCS (Universal Character Set) An ISO/IEC format for coding character sets. ISO/IEC 10646 was synchronized with Unicode; however, Unicode adds additional constraints, and compliance with 10646 does not guarantee compatibility with Unicode. See Unicode. ) or can connect to another Standalone Enclosure for point-to-point and smaller applications. The manageable 1040 Standalone Enclosure accepts Canoga Perkins Technology Modules with a 6U high form factor. These same 6U Technology Modules also fit in the existing UCS 1000 Multi-Technology Platform permitting many deployment options. The Technology Modules housed in the 1040 Standalone Enclosure are equipped with an EIA-232 craft port for additional management and control.

The economical 1050 Standalone Enclosure is very similar to the 1040 Standalone Enclosure but is offered as a non-managed product.

Both the 1040 and 1050 Standalone Enclosures house a single 6U Technology Module. The Standalone Enclosures are equipped with an internal auto-ranging AC power supply.

The 1020 Standalone Enclosure is a fully manageable product that provides an RJ-45 10BaseT Ethernet management port and an EIA-232 craft port for additional management and control. The manageable 1020 Standalone Enclosure can be used as an extension of the existing Canoga Multi-Technology Universal Chassis System (UCS) or can connect to another Standalone Enclosure for point-to-point and smaller applications. The manageable 1020 Standalone Enclosure accepts Canoga Perkins Technology Modules with a 2U high form factor. These same 2U Technology Modules also fit in the existing UCS 1002 Multi-Technology platform permitting many deployment options.

Both the 1020 and 1030 Standalone Enclosures house a single 2U Technology Module. The Standalone Enclosures are equipped with an internal auto-ranging AC power supply.
