Canoeing: Campbell Walsh.


ATHENS hopeful Campbell Walsh Campbell Walsh (b. 26 November 1977, Glasgow) is a Scottish kayaker who won a Silver Medal in the K1 Single Class at the 2004 Olympics.

He also won a Silver at the 2004 European Championships in the K1 Team Event and was World Cup Champion the same year.
 goes into this weekend's K1 World Slalom Cup Final in St Maurice, France, lying second behind Olympic champion Thomas Schmidt of Germany.

The 26-year-old paddler from Bridge of Allan Bridge of Allan is a town in Stirling council area in Scotland, just north of the city of Stirling. It was formerly administered by Stirlingshire and Central Regional Council.  finished third in Ausburg, Germany, in the penultimate round of the event on Saturday.

Walsh has also managed two second place finishes in Greece and Spain earlier this year.
