Candlemaker's bright move to Flatiron District.


Adams Adams, town (1990 pop. 9,445), Berkshire co., NW Mass., in the Berkshires, on the Hoosic River; inc. 1778. Its manufactures include chemicals, textiles, and paper products. The Berkshire region attracts tourists year-round.  & Co. Real Estate recently brokered a five-year, 3,000 s/f lease at 11 E. 26th St. for Paris-based Diptyque Diptyque is a Paris based company that produces a line of scented candles and perfumes. Founded in 1961 by three friends (painter Desmond Knox-Leet, set designer Yves Coueslant, and Christiane Gautrot, who was working in an architecture firm), Diptyque originally produced printed , an ultra high-end scented candle maker.

The East 26th Street space will be used for showrooms and represents Diptyque's U.S. headquarters.

Although details of the lease were undisclosed, asking rents were $41 per square foot. The 21-story, 217,991 s/ f property's tenants includes Wallace Wal·lace , Alfred Russel 1823-1913.
