Candela Hosts World-Renowned Dermatologists Forum; Cosmetic Laser Expert Jeffrey Dover Featured as Keynote Speaker at 6th Annual Meeting.

WAYLAND, Mass. -- Candela Corporation (NASDAQ: CLZR) today announced that Jeffrey S. Dover, MD will be the keynote speaker at the 6th Annual Candela Users Meeting in conjunction with the 13th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) in Florence, Italy.

Jeffrey S. Dover, MD, Director of Skin Care Physicians of Chestnut Hill, will kick-off this gala event at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the Astoria Boscolo Hotel with an overview of how lasers have changed the landscape of the aesthetic laser industry, and the role that Candela lasers have played throughout the years. Dover said, "I have been using lasers in my practice for more than 18 years, and have found Candela lasers to be the cornerstone of the aesthetic laser industry." About Jeffrey S. Dover, M.D.

Dr. Dover is the Director of Skin Care Physicians of Chestnut Hill, a comprehensive facility specializing in dermatology, laser and cosmetic surgery, and he is Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine. He graduated Magna cum Laude with an M.D. degree from the University of Ottawa and received his dermatology training at the University of Toronto. He followed up his training with a research fellowship at St. John's Hospital for Diseases of the Skin at the University of London and a two-year photomedicine fellowship at Beth Israel Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He was previously Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and Associate Chairman of Dermatology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

He is the author of over 300 publications, articles, reviews, and textbooks about cutaneous laser surgery. He serves on many committees including the American Academy of Dermatology Committee for Guidelines of Care and he is actively involved in regional dermatological societies. Dr. Dover has organized and directed numerous medical conferences, including the Atlantic Dermatological Conference and several courses at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Dover received several nominations for Teacher of the Year at Harvard Medical School and was recently honored with the prestigious Leon Goldman Award of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
