Cancun Has More Spirit!; Spirit Airlines Announces Non-Stop Service From Tampa to Cancun, Mexico with Fares Starting at $89*.


FORT LAUDERDALE Fort Lauderdale (lô`dərdāl), residential, commercial, and resort city (1990 pop. 149,377), seat of Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled around a fort built (c.1837) in the Seminole War, inc. 1911. , Fla. -- Spirit Airlines today announces new, daily, non-stop service between Tampa International Airport Tampa International Airport (IATA: TPA, ICAO: KTPA, FAA LID: TPA) is a public airport located six miles (10 km) west of the central business district of Tampa, in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States.  and Cancun, Mexico beginning on November 10, 2005. Tampa International Airport currently has no non-stop service to Mexico.

Spirit currently offers non-stop service to Cancun from both Detroit and Fort Lauderdale with convenient connections from Atlantic City, Chicago/O'Hare, NY/LaGuardia, Providence/Boston Area, and Washington, D.C./Reagan National.

Introductory fares between Tampa and Cancun start at $89* each way for travel November 10, 2005 through February 7, 2006, blackout dates November 11/18-11/30/05 and 12/15/05 - 1/8/06. Fares must be booked on spiritair.com by July 31, 2005.

*Fares are coach class and are each way based on round-trip purchase when booking at spiritair.com. Fares are inclusive of spiritair.com $5 off discount. Fares do not include (a) a segment tax of $3.10 per U.S. domestic flight segment of a passenger's itinerary: a flight segment is defined as one takeoff and landing; (b) up to $18 per round trip in local airport charges; and (c) September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport, up to $5 per one way or $10 per round trip.
