Cancer charity to offer wig service.THE Cardiff-based cancer charity Tenovus has joined up with a wig firm to offer cancer patients a specialist service on its new mobile cancer unit. The charity has forged links with Periwig Consultants, which has worked with NHS NHS abbr. National Health Service NHS (in Britain) National Health Service cancer patients since 2004. The unit visits the Bridgend Designer Outlet on Mondays and the Asda car park, Dowlais Top, Merthyr Tydfil Merthyr Tydfil (mûr`thər tĭd`vĭl), town (1981 pop. 38,893) and county borough, 43 sq mi (111 sq km), S Wales. Located on the Taff River, the town is connected to Cardiff by canal. It has ironworks and steelworks. on Wednesdays between 10am-4pm.
