Cancer Survivors Celebrate At Light The Night Walk.Business Editors DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2000 The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society -- North Texas Chapter is excited about the upcoming Light The Night(R) Walk to commemorate and celebrate the lives touched by cancer. September 21 - 24 will mark the 2nd Annual weekend for this nationwide evening Walk. "The timing is perfect for the walk," said Michelle Duca, Special Events Manager for the North Texas Chapter, "September marks the annual observance of Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month, and survivors can celebrate at our Walk." After the 2-mile Walk, participants are invited to continue the celebration of life with music, refreshments and the satisfaction that comes from working toward a common goal. "We've had so many people volunteer their time and services. It is amazing how generous people can be!" said Duca. One person who is volunteering his time is lymphoma survivor Mike Grimes. "He offered to have his band, Jay Michaels Jay "Mad Dog" Michaels is a Canadian broadcaster who co-hosts the Mad Dog and Billie morning show on 99.9 Mix FM in Toronto.
