Cancer Survivors' Fund Celebrity Golf Classic Huge Success.HOUSTON -- The First Annual Cancer Survivors' Fund of Houston Celebrity Golf Classic was completed on Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Deerwood Club at the Clubs of Kingwood. Cancer Survivors' Fund is a local charity established to help those who survived cancer. CSF Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Analysis Definition Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis is a laboratory test to examine a sample of the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. has the unique ability to recognize potential buried beneath tragedy. They proudly call themselves the "Dream Makers." The recipients are selected from youths who have been "left behind" because of their struggle with cancer and its aftermath and who are unable to receive help from other sources. The Cancer Survivors' Fund, one the fastest growing charities in Houston and a member of the Better Business Bureau, has awarded over $330,000 in scholarships and prosthetic pros·thet·ic adj. 1. Currently twenty-six CSF students are enrolled in institutions of higher education, transforming their lives from surviving to thriving. They are pursuing dreams that they once thought impossible to achieve. And, CSF is helping them. This year's event was dedicated to the memory of prominent Fulbright & Jaworski Attorney Ronald G. Bliss, a dedicated Air Force pilot who spent over 6 1/2 years in a North Vietnamese POW camp after being shot down during the Vietnam War. Bliss succumbed to cancer this year, after a lengthy and inspirational battle.
