MADISON, Wis. -- The TomoTherapy([R]) HioArt([R]) cancer treatment system was featured in a presentation on capital equipment acquisition during the Association of Cancer Executives (ACE) annual meeting, Feb. 14-17, 2009, in Sarasota, Fla. In the months since acquiring TomoTherapy technology, McKay believes that WMCC's capabilities have expanded dramatically.

"We are attracting more patients because of TomoTherapy," said Ms. McKay. "The platform gives us the ability to accurately and successfully re-treat patients who have previously received radiation therapy, and to treat complex cases with a degree of quality that we simply couldn't get with any other linac. Our referring physicians are beginning to understand this, and our staff has clearly come to expect more with Tomo. The bar is now higher."
