.), is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to the Management Team.

David Watkinson, P.Eng., will take on the newly created position of Vice President-Mine Development, responsible for overseeing all of Canarc's mine-related activities at the Polaris Taku and Bellavista mine sites as well as reviewing all mine project acquisitions.

David brings to Canarc his strong background in underground and open pit mining, including ore reserve estimation, environmental studies, mine permitting, construction, operations and reclaimation. Previous postings include Vice President-Mining with Bharti Engineering Associates Inc., Project Manager and Manager of Technical Services with Kinross Gold Kinross Gold Corporation (TSX: K, NYSE: KGC) is a Canadian gold mining company. The Company is also in the final process of appointing a Project Manager for Canarc's Phase 1 exploration program on our extensive 2.2 million hectare Indonesian land holdings.
