Air Canada Increases Flight Service to Cancun Thanks to Rising Popularity

CANCUN, Mexico -- With winter quickly approaching, Air Canada is boosting flights to Cancun, Mexico, already world-famous for its white sandy beaches Sandy Beach (location ) is on the South Shore of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi. Keeping snowbirds' interests in mind, Air Canada will begin offering twenty-five more Canada-to-Mexico flights per week, totaling sixty-one weekly flights between the two countries. Beginning October 1, 2006, Air Canada will provide direct weekend flights from Toronto to CancE[bar]n, and on November 1, 2006, these weekend flights will turn daily. Edmonton travelers will also enjoy increased departures starting December 20, 2006, as Air Canada will offer a total of nine new flights to CancE[bar]n in their 207-seat Boeing 767 aircraft. Having completed a US$20.33 million beach recovery project in April 2006, all of CancE[bar]n's 12 miles of renewed coastline have since been re-opened and are accessible and available for use. In addition to the recent beach re-openings, 85 percent of CancE[bar]n's 27,822 hotel rooms have been fully restored and are operating in normal fashion, and most restaurants, discos, marinas and other attractions in downtown CancE[bar]n and along the hotel zone are open as well.
