Air Canada Increases Flight Service to Cancun Thanks to Rising Popularity

CANCUN, Mexico -- With winter quickly approaching, Air Canada is boosting flights to Cancun, Mexico, already world-famous for its white sandy beaches, warm tranquil waters and year-round water sports and golfing. At an average annual temperature of twenty-six degrees Celsius, this tropical oasis will be drawing flocks of snowbirds this winter.

Flights to the CancE[bar]n International Airport, serving over 800,000 passengers per month in high season, are already available from almost every major city in the world, providing a total of 170 direct or connecting flights to CancE[bar]n every day. To help supply the continually growing demand for this premier destination, Air Canada has announced its commitment to expand its current service to this favorite vacation hotspot.

Keeping snowbirds' interests in mind, Air Canada will begin offering twenty-five more Canada-to-Mexico flights per week, totaling sixty-one weekly flights between the two countries. Beginning October 1, 2006, Air Canada will provide direct weekend flights from Toronto to CancE[bar]n, and on November 1, 2006, these weekend flights will turn daily. Edmonton travelers will also enjoy increased departures starting December 20, 2006, as Air Canada will offer a total of nine new flights to CancE[bar]n in their 207-seat Boeing 767 aircraft. And in addition to these new flights, Air Canada will also be increasing the frequency of its currently scheduled flights to the island. Montreal travelers, for example, will witness twice-weekly operations increase to daily flights starting December 16, 2006.
